Keeping in Touch During the Day

Let your kids know you're thinking of them

By Krystina Tessier, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Franklin - Grafton - Milford November 16, 2023

When my oldest started school for the first time, I'm not sure who missed who more. To let him know I was thinking of him and to add a little "home" to the school day, I started adding little notes or mementos to his lunch bag

Even though my oldest is now 14 and in High School, here are a few ways I let him and now his brother know that I am thinking of them:

1. Add a little note in their lunchbox

2. Make it fun, add a joke

3. Draw a picture

4. Add a Hershey Kiss or Special Treat

5. Use a cookie cutter to cut the sandwich (my teenager doesn't really enjoy this one anymore

However you choose to show a little love, your kids will certainly appreciate the gesture.
