Blackstone
✿ The Blackstone Museum has temporarily closed.
Franklin
✿ The Franklin Police will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and gift cards for their Toy Drive through December 15th at the Station (911 Panther Way).
Milford
✿ The Milford Town Library is accepting donations of new mittens, gloves, and scarves (all sizes) for its annual Mitten Tree drive through December 19th.
Whitinsville / Northbridge
✿ The Whitinsville Social Library has moved back to Phase 2 of its opening. Please visit here for more details regarding curbside pick-up, etc.
Uxbridge
✿ People First Food Pantry of Uxbridge's "Adopt an Angel" program will be held online this year. Gifts need to be received by Dec. 15th, see details here.
Multiple Towns
✿ If you have a High School Senior heading to college next year, you may want to participate in an upcoming (online) FAFSA workshop which will assist you in filling out the Financial Aid application. Sessions will be held in English (Dec. 14th, Jan. 10th, and Feb. 11th) and in Spanish (Feb. 7th). Visit our calendar for details.
✿ If you are a relative raising a child, The Mass. Commission on the Status of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is now holding online support groups for grandparents/ relative caregivers on the first and thrd Monday evenings of the month from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., as well as the first and third Tuesday mornings of the month from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. See our calendar for more details.
The Commission will also be hosting an online webinar entitled "Navigating Your Grandchild's Individualized Education Plan [IEP]" on Dec. 9th, in conjunction with the Federation for Children with Special Needs.
✿ If you are a grandparent/relative raising a child in the Milford area, some local organizations are checking if there is interest in forming a local support group. Find more information here.
