Hopedale's Scarecrow Fest is Coming Soon!

Create Your Own Scarecrow ✿ Applications are due Fri., Oct. 16 ✿ Voting Takes Place on Sat., Oct. 31

October 11, 2020

The Friends of Historic Hopedale have partnered with the Hopedale Community House for a brand new, festive fundraiser event this October - the Hopedale Scarecrow Fest!

Families, organizations and businesses are invited to build and enter their very own scarecrow, which will be on display on the grounds of the Community house (43 Hope Street) from Friday, October 23rd through Saturday, October 31st.

Your scarecrow can be almost anything that you can dream up!  (just no vulgar or political displays please) You may want to visit the Friends' Facebook page for some inspiration.

Scarecrow displays will be set up in numbered spaces around the perimeter of the Community House lawn and along the interior lawn paths.  You will choose an exterior path or interior path space on your application. Space numbers will be assigned as applications are received.

Next, there will be voting for a favorite, which will take place on October 31st from 12 noon - 5pm. (If Covid-19 restrictions are in place at the time of the event,  voting will be switched to online.)

Entrants will need to take down their displays by November 1st.

Applications (with all the details) are available here. No applications will be accepted after October 16, 2020.
