A Note From Your Publisher: Info on Local Event Cancellations

Coronavirus means the situation is changing quickly in our Communities

March 16, 2020

This is an uncertain time, and things seem to be changing by the day -- if not the hour -- with coronavirus and the reaction to it as health officials and the government try to slow its spread.

Most local events have been canceled and I have marked them as such on the events calendar as I hear about them. But I always recommend verifying event details with the venue before you attend, and it is especially important to do so right now as events may be canceled with little to no notice.

Macaroni Kid Franklin/Milford/East Blackstone Valley (EBV) will update our calendar as we hear of cancellations. For instance, Home Depot and Lowe's have canceled their kids' workshops nationwide for the time being, as have all of the local libraries and family networks.

If you hear of any event cancellations not reflected on the Macaroni Kid Macaroni Kid Franklin/Milford/EBV events calendar, please reach out to me at Ann@macaronikid.com or on our #MacKidFranklin Facebook page and I will update the calendar. Please let me know also if you learn of any "virtual" online events that our group may find helpful and/or entertaining.

Please call 2-1-1 (in Mass.: 24 hours a day/7 days a week), and/or watch the CDC, the Mass. Department of Health [mass.gov/covid19], and your local Health Department's website for the latest news:

And, of course, please take care of yourselves and your family. (But leave some toilet paper - and chocolate - for the rest of us!)
