Faculty Key to Students’ Success at The Goddard School® of Bellingham

By Sponsored Content January 5, 2018

For 30 years, The Goddard School has been a trusted name among families. Its classrooms are safe, nurturing environments for children six weeks to six years, offering age-appropriate opportunities to explore and discover. Trained teachers lead each child to reach developmental milestones, preparing the children for social and academic success.

At The Goddard School located in Bellingham, MA, the on-site owner, Amy Peterson, works to make sure every family enjoys a warm, positive experience. As a mother of three, Amy understands the importance of providing a fun, hands-on learning experience for children. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Boston College and opened her School in 2006. “The best part about owning The Goddard School is having the opportunity to shape the minds of children into confident little learners,” she says. “I am amazed at the progress they achieve each day!” She looks to her directors and lead teachers to help each child become a lifelong learner.

Tanya, the Education Director, sets the stage in preparing children for success in school and in life. She holds an associate’s degree in Childhood Education as well as several certifications and has worked with children since 2000. She ensures that trained teachers lovingly guide children to achieve genuine learning through play.

Michelle, the Assistant Director, helps Tanya coach teachers on health and safety standards, curriculum best practices, developmental guidelines and enrichment programs so the teachers can provide the highest level of education and care. She holds an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children since 2007.

The lead teacher of the pre-kindergarten classroom, Margot, ensures children continue their journey of exploration and discovery by helping them apply their developing literacy and math skills through purposeful, planned learning experiences. She holds an associate’s degree from Lasell College and has been working with children for 15 years.

Andrea, the lead teacher of the junior kindergarten classroom, worked with Margot to craft a fun, engaging geography program to teach students about the 50 states and their capitols, birds, flowers and flags. Andrea holds a teaching certificate from Dean College and has more than 20 years of experience working with children.
